Paris Hilton Faces $10 Million Defamation Trial
May 12, 2007
Los Angeles - A $10 million defamation trial against Paris Hilton is set to start next week brought on by European socialite Zeta Graff who claims Hilton planted a false and damaging story about her in the New York Post.

Juror selection begins Wednesday in a slander and libel lawsuit filed in 2005 against Hilton by European socialite Zeta Graff, who claims Hilton planted a false and damaging story about her in the New York Post.
The story ran in a July 2005 Page Six column and said that Graff, who once dated Hilton's former fiancé Paris Latsis, "went berserk" on the heiress at a London nightclub. The gossip page reported Graff "flew" at Hilton and tried to tear a $4 million necklace from her neck before being kicked out of the club.
Hilton has admitted the story is untrue but denies she planted it in Page Six.
Zeta Graff has requested a jury trial that is expected to last eight to 10 days.
