LA Area Police use MySpace to Crack Down on Graffiti Writers

COVINA, CA (AP) -- Three teenage boys have been arrested for allegedly spray-painting a wall after Covina police found pictures of the graffiti posted on MySpace.com.

The two 16-year-olds and a 17-year-old were arrested for investigation of vandalism in connection with graffiti sprayed over the weekend.

Police say two of the boys denied wrongdoing, then officers showed them the pictures they printed off MySpace.

One officer says the boys responded with wide-eyed looks. He says they looked like they couldn't believe the police were smart enough to look on MySpace for their handiwork.

The graffiti caused about a thousand dollars in damage. Police say they plan to bill the teenagers' parents.
