E!-GADS MODEL NIKKI TAYLOR SUES E! CHANNEL

Post staff writer

January 29, 2007 -- FORMER supermodel Niki Taylor filed suit over the weekend against the E! Entetainment channel, claiming she'd been tricked into cooperating with a new series about celebrity crack-ups.

The show, called "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," debuted last Monday with a show about Taylor and her late sister, Krissy.

"My life is far from a 'boulevard of broken dreams,' " she said in a prepared statement that accompanied the announcement of her suit.

"As a matter of fact, with my recent marriage, successful fragrance line, clothing boutique and women's foundation, it's better than it's ever been!"

The suit, filed in federal court in California, claims E! promised Taylor that the show would be about her life since her brush with drugs and a car crash that nearly killed her in 2001.

The scandal-celebrating show, went "too far," the suit says.

Taylor, who is married to NASCAR driver Burney Lamar now lives in Nashville, wanted the show yanked off the air as soon as she saw it - but it was repeated several more time during the week,

The suit, which does not specify how much money in damages it was seeking, accuses E! of fraud, breach of contract, invasion of privacy, slander and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Officials from E! did not respond to a message yesterday seeking comment.
