Katherine Heigl: Nick Counter “Is A Weiner”

The Writers Guild strike has hit day 4 and it’s getting a little touchy on those picket lines with Katherine Heigl launching a scathing verbal attack on Nick Counter, president of the Alliance of Motion Picture & Television Producers, calling him a “weiner.”

OK, it’s not exactly scathing but it is slightly immature and hilarious. I expect a “Counter-attack” slogan of “I see London, I see France, I see Katherine Heigl’s underpants.” I’ll keep you posted if that happens.

Also taking to the streets in support of the Writers Guild were fellow ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ co-stars Patrick Dempsey, Eric Dane, and T.R. Knight along with ‘Men Trees Star’ Justine Bateman, Greg Grunberg and Sendhil Ramamurthy of ‘Heroes,’ and ‘Reno 911′ coppers, Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Grant, in full costume.

So far the strike has forced Kiefer Sutherland’s ‘24′ to postpone its’ January premier and affected production on the sets of ‘Desperate Housewives,’ ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine,’ ‘Back To You,’ ‘Til Death,’ ‘Rules of Engagement,’ ‘Two and a Half Men,’ ‘The Office,’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory.’

The late night talk shows have also been hurt by the strike with ‘The Daily Show,’ ‘The Tonight Show,’ and ‘Late Night With David Letterman’ all going dark, forcing the studios to air reruns.
