I didn’t come to you personally because I thought you would just laugh at me and not take it down regardless of what I could possibly say to you. My actions may have seemed extreme, but it’s the only thing I could come up with for you to take the post down. The fact that you now want to post the letter shows that even if I did send an email to you asking for it to be removed nicely, the email would have been posted as well to embarrass me.

==============================

You deserve to be embarrassed.... you stole my work and claimed it as your own. You've yet to do anything that resembles an apology or show any remorse so the only recourse I have to is to call attention to your actions.

What I've wanted since the beginning is an admission and apology... and then for you to go away. Short of that, I hope that the exchange rate on US dollars is favorable 'cause you're about to spend a lot of of money on an international court case.

As a designer who has a client serving a legitimate cease and desist on a competitor for using stolen brand marks, this makes me sick. The best thing to do is to retain your counsel to send a "cease and desist your own sory ass" letter back to him. It's a face off, where he wants (or his lawyer wants) to see if you are willing to go to court over it. They are assuredly betting you are not. Prove them wrong.

Kris isn't a bad or malicious person, and if you had emailed him immediately and directly, saying you were sorry and embarrassed, and explaining that while you knew you'd fucked up, you didn't want to see your career ruined over it, he likely would have taken the post down.

I was with Kris on the trip where he took those pictures, and it was a very special adventure -- which just made what you did that much more offensive to us both. I was stunned.

I actually hate to see anyone getting picked on like this, but honestly, all you had to do was admit to it and apologize. And I'm sure this goes without saying, but just think a little before you go stealing people's special memories like that.

This ticks me off the more I read this. I have to say Kris you have taken the high road in this and are to be commended for just wanting him apologize and admit the truth. As a Chicagoland resident, this fool corazza does not represent what we are all about here. Most of us actually have ethical standards.

Dare I say a new term be created. We've been 'corazzaed"

turtblu - I'm so glad you found that - I was looking. I guess I sort of thought he would have at least changed her name.

Classic. Sounds like Jerry Taylor of Tuttle, Oklahoma: "Get this web site off my home page!!!!! It is blocking access to my website!!!!~!"

Thanks again Liza, for informing me. He took five from my flickr set, "Sisters," which I posted at the end of last year.

If any of the photographers with stolen work are getting together on this, please be sure to inform me -- I'm angry and I'd be happy to help "p0wn" this guy in any way possible.

Also, any advice you can give on a way to get him to remove my images, I'd be happy to accept. I'm sort of puzzled, at this point, on what action to take.

I just can't help myself...

Look under "Holga" second row center, with the handicap insignia.

The original can be found here:

Fun.

Edit - Looks like the second row second pic in holga is this one:

Did he really take my photographs? If so, I have a REAL lawyer of my own that would like to speak to him. If anyone has proof (his web site is "off the air'), please forward proof to me. Unbelievable.

Johnny Blood - I think "the life of liza" a few comments ago said they had screenshots. I'm sure someone will provide some. At very least his site has shutdown for now. By doing that his google search top ranked result is now Kris' blog post! Ahh the irony!

By the way, thank you to everyone who posted comments to many of MY photographs on MY Flickr stream regarding Kevin Corazza's theft of them. I appreciate everyone's investigation.

Some of you posted questions asking whether or not I took them from Kevin Corazza. Rest assured, I most certainly did not. And I have all of the RAW images to prove it, not to mention other forms of proof.

I sent Mr. Corazza an E-mail this evening imploring him to apologize and fess-up. I also asked him to provide a clear and coherent explanation of why he would steal the images. I told him that if he fails to provide an acceptable respond before COB Monday, I will have my attorney begin criminal and civil actions against him. If he lives in Chicago, given his tracks all over the Internet, I'm confident that my attorney will be able to hunt him down. If this is nothing more than a Colossal misjudgment on his part, I will accept his apology, provided he comes 100% clean. If, however, he doesn’t come clean, then I will use the resources at my disposal to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law and out him as the gadfly and pariah he is.

I may only be an amateur photographer, but I’m also the owner of my own company who has many resources in Chicago after having lived there for four years. I just hope he doesn’t doubt my sincerity and takes the easy road on this one.

Thanks again,

Johnny Blood (emphasis on the word 'Blood')

I will probably do so, Pako. I will wait to see if he responds to my plea first. If he does not, then I will be contacting you after 5:00 p.m. CST Monday for that information. I will probably begin contacting an investigator in Chicago to track him down. I will forward what I learn over the weekend with information I collect from all of you to my attorney if need be.

His contact information when doing a WHOIS search at Network Solutions is:

Kevin Corazza
1008 W. Racine
Chicago, IL 60161
Phone: (630) 834-3498
E-mail: kevincorazza@yahoo.com

As someone said earlier, there does not appear to be a 1008 West Racine. Doing a reverse telephone directory search of the telephone number, however, reveals that it is a working number and that it is registered to the following person/address:

Susan Ejma
280 North Michigan Avenue
Elmhurst, IL 60126

What's more, that Network Solutions, Yahoo, and his web hosting company should have enough information to help track him down.

I went ahead and emailed his hosting provider to let them know what's going on. I doubt there's anything they can do (his site is already down, maybe that will take care of it), but should there be anything in their terms and conditions (I couldn't find them), perhaps they can help.

I also emailed him regarding my own photos, threatening legal action.
